This Privacy Policy describes how Urtour ("Urtour", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Urtour website, mobile-optimized web app, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique account identifier from Google.
• Snaps and prompts. Photos you capture, text prompts you send, and the responses generated for you are stored so you can revisit your history.
• Location data. If you allow it, we use approximate location (from your device or photo metadata) to surface nearby points of interest and suggest walking tours. You can disable location at any time in your browser settings.
• Language and preferences. Your selected language, voice, and similar settings.
• Billing information. Subscription status, plan, renewal date, and the last four digits of your payment method. Full card numbers are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe) and never reach our servers.
• Device and usage data. Standard log information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, and interactions with the Service, used for security and analytics.
• Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies and local storage are used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure aggregate usage.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Generate AI responses, descriptions, audio narration, and walking-tour suggestions in response to your snaps and prompts.
• Process subscriptions, free trials, renewals, and refunds.
• Communicate with you about your account, security alerts, product updates, and support requests.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. AI Processing

To generate responses, your photos and prompts are sent to trusted AI model providers acting as our processors. These providers process the data on our behalf to return a result and are contractually prohibited from using your content to train their general-purpose models. We do not sell your snaps or prompts.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as described below:

• Service providers. Cloud hosting, database, analytics, payment processing (Stripe), AI model inference, email delivery, and customer support tools that help us operate the Service.
• Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Urtour, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
• With your consent. Any other sharing only with your explicit permission.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

5. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Snaps, prompts, and generated content are retained so they appear in your history until you delete them or close your account. After account deletion, we remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or security reasons.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

• Update your language and preferences in the app.
• Delete individual snaps from your history.
• Cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal.
• Request account deletion or a copy of your data by emailing privacy@urtour.info.

We will respond to verifiable requests within the time required by applicable law.

7. International Transfers

Urtour is operated from, and information may be processed in, countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.

8. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice in the Service before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
